Edinburgh-based cellist Gage Ehmann

Gage Ehmann - Creative Director/Cellist:

With an MMus degree from the Royal Academy of Music, Gage is currently based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Chamber music is what first drew Gage to that moment at which traditional communication ceases, and in its place a concentrated energy drives the music. Now, Gage seeks this same energy - through the physical means of movement interaction - in his first cross-arts collaboration. He derives inspiration for ingenuity and entrepreneurship in the arts from his experience at the Fresh Inc. Festival in Wisconsin, led by the ten-person mixed-instrumental Fifth-House Ensemble. Additional chamber music experience includes the Castleman Quartet Program and the Atlantic Music Festival (Artist Residency Fellowship).

London-based composer Daniel Ehrlich

Daniel Ehrlich - Composer:

Daniel Ehrlich is a native of Toronto, Ontario, though he has called Ann Arbor, Michigan his hometown since 2003. He is fascinated by time and space, and how music can alter our experience of temporal events. Currently based in London, Daniel is a master’s student at the Royal Academy of Music, and is a regular performer with the LSO Chorus. His works have been performed and premiered by the Temple Ensemble, the Aurora Trio, the Crouch End Festival Chorus, the Blossom Street Singers, the Grinnell Singers, the Oak Park Temple Master’s Chorus, members of the Des Moines Symphony, and members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

London-based dancer Joel O'Donoghue

Joel O’ Donoghue - Dancer:

Joel's degree in Dance Theatre from Trinity Laban reflects his interest in alternative and experimental performance. Joel has performed works across the UK and internationally, working with a diverse range of choreographers, including Hofesh Shechter, Ben Wright, Darren Ellis, Ponciano Almeida, and Matteo Fargion. While honing his skills as a performer, these experiences have developed his understanding of different dance forms and devising methods. The latter has proven indispensable in his collaboration over the past two years with British composer Pete Yelding. Their recent piece, In Good Company, was performed at Robin Howard Theatre as part of Resolution 2016. In July 2014, Joel completed a short course in Set Design at University of the Arts, London. He is interested in finding ways of incorporating design into his work, and exploring how different settings and lighting states can change a performance. He is particularly interested in how this applies to site-specific works. Joel has recently collaborated with artist Candida Powell-Williams, set designer Dan Potra, and lighting designer Joshua Gadsby on a range of projects, both in theatres and in more unconventional spaces.. Joel is equally active in efforts on behalf of the community, leading workshops for the Trinity Laban education outreach program.
